Personal Data Processing Policy
Thank you for visiting the website of the Gyeonggi-do Association of Foreign-Invested Companies (hereinafter referred to as GAFIC)/Gyeonggi-do Support Center for Foreign-Invested Companies (GSFIC).
All personal data handled on the website (http://www.gafic.or.kr) is collected, retained and processed in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Regulations in the relevant laws and decrees.
The GAFIC website has the following processing policy to protect the privacy and rights of users according to the Republic of Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and to smoothly handle the user's grievances related to personal data.
Personal data on the GAFIC website is processed for the purpose of accepting and handling online registration of civil complaints.
Article 2 - Processing and Retention Period of Personal DataThe personal data collected through the online submission of a civil complaint is stored for one month after the response from the time the complaint is filed. During the retention period, the data is used for handling the complaint, and is not used for any other purposes. If the purpose of use is changed, we will obtain our user’s prior consent.
Article 3 - Matters Concerning the Rights and Obligations of the Primary Data Owner (User) and How to Exercise ThemThe user is responsible for the security of personal data on the website.
Article 4 - Items of Personal Data Processed
A. Poster (Claimant) who has submitted a civil complaint on the website
- Required Items: Name, Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, Company Name, Company Address and Company Phone Number
A. The Procedure: Personal data is retained for one month after the response from the time of filing a complaint and then destroyed.
B. The Method: Personal data retained in the form of electronic files is destroyed so that records cannot be reproduced, and data recorded on paper documents is shredded.
In accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act, we protect personal data using the technical, administrative and physical safeguards necessary to ensure safety as follows.
A. Encryption of Personal Data: Personal data is managed by encrypting and storing the password, so only the user can know it. For important data, we use separate security features such as file transfer encryption or file locking feature.
B. Technical Measures Against Hacking: In order to prevent the leakage or damage of personal data due to hacking or computer viruses, security programs are installed, periodic updates and inspections are carried out, and technical/physical monitoring and blocking are performed by installing systems in an area where access is controlled from the outside.
C. Minimization and Training of Data-Handling Staff: We implement measures such as designation of employees who handle personal data, giving them thorough training and letting only the designated employees manage personal data after their training.
Should the user be dissatisfied with the handling of their complaint or the remedy of damages by GAFIC, or need more detailed help, the user can inquire about the remedy of damages or consultation about infringement of personal data to the following organizations.

The Personal Data Processing Policy is applied from February 01, 2015. In the event that there are additions, deletions, and/or corrections of changes in accordance with laws and policies, we will notify you through the Notices 7 days prior to the implementation of the changes.
